Benny has come to us from another rescue who have askedfor help in finding him a new home. Benny was originally handed into them a year ago after his original owners could no longer cope with him, he was homed by the other rescue but returned to them a few months later and has been looking for a new home ever since. Benny does have a few issues which will need an eperienced, confident owner who will be happy to continue to work with him. He is hand/head shy as if he has been hit or hurt in the past so if you reach down to him to quickly (to fuss him or put his lead on) if he isnt expecting it he will snap. Benny is protective over his bed, food and toys but he can be managed by "swopping " for a treat or a distraction. We are happy to talk through in detail how his behaviour can be managed and worked on with potential adoptors. Bez absolutely loves his walks and is friendly with people and other dogs out and about, once he trusts you he enjoys a fuss and a cuddle, he will bark when new people come to the house but again once settled is fine with them. |
