Ragdoll Kittens Available Now

The Ragdoll is a large, placid cat, usually 4.5 to 9 kg, with blue eyes and a soft, semi-long coat. The name comes from the way many go relaxed when picked up. Ragdolls are gentle, follow their owners from room to room and are happiest as indoor cats with company. They suit families, but they do not enjoy long hours alone.

The coat tangles less than a Persian’s but still needs brushing a few times a week, especially behind the ears and under the legs. In the UAE keep the home cool, provide fresh water in several spots and never leave the cat in a parked car. Ragdolls are big, so give them a sturdy scratching post and a clean, roomy litter tray. A heart condition can run in the breed, so ask the seller for the parents’ screening results and ask your vet.

See the kitten in person, and its mother if you buy from a breeder. Check the vaccination card and ask for pedigree papers if the seller says the kitten is a pedigree. The cat should be microchipped, have its rabies and core vaccinations and be registered with your municipality or emirate. On AnimalMarket24, asking prices have mostly been between AED 1,000 and AED 5,000, a wide spread, so compare a few ads and ask what the price includes. Adoption is also an option, and adoption fees should be modest.
