About these terms

These terms explain how you may use AnimalMarket24.com. By creating an account, posting an ad or otherwise using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What AnimalMarket24 is

AnimalMarket24 is an online noticeboard. Ads are posted by private people, breeders, shops and rescues. We do not sell, own, keep or deliver any animal, and we are not a party to any deal between users. We cannot check every ad.

Who may post

You must be at least 18 years old.
Give accurate details when you create your account and keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
Only post animals or services that are yours to offer.

What you may not post

Animals whose sale or keeping is illegal or restricted in the UAE, including protected or endangered species, or any animal that needs a permit you do not hold.
Animals that are too young to leave their mother.
Sick or injured animals, or any animal with a known health problem that the ad does not state openly.
Fake ads, ads for animals you do not have, or photos, descriptions and prices that are misleading.
Duplicate ads. Post each animal or service once.
Phone numbers, email addresses or social media names written in photos. Buyers can reach you through the contact buttons and the message form.
Scams of any kind, including asking for money in advance or for a transfer before the buyer has seen the animal.
Anything abusive, offensive or unlawful.

Adoption ads

An ad in the adoption section may ask only for a modest adoption fee. It must not be used to sell an animal at a normal sale price.

Your ads and your deals

You are responsible for your ads: what they say, the photos you upload and whether they are true. You are also responsible for any deal you make and for looking after an animal until it is handed over. Every deal is between the seller and the buyer. We are not responsible for disputes, losses or injuries that result from a deal.

If you are buying, please protect yourself:

See the pet first, in person or on a live video call.
Check the vaccination card and the microchip.
Never pay before you have seen the pet: no deposits and no delivery or shipping fees by transfer.

Our right to act

We may edit, refuse or remove any ad, and we may suspend or close any account, at any time. We will usually do this when these terms are broken, when an ad looks fake or unsafe, or when someone reports a problem. We may do it without telling you first.

No guarantee

We do not guarantee any ad, user, animal, price or description, and we do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss that arises from using the site or from dealing with other users.

Content licence

You keep ownership of the text and photos you post. By posting them, you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, resize and promote them on AnimalMarket24.com and in our own promotion of the site. Only upload photos that you took or have permission to use. When an ad is removed, we stop displaying it, although copies may remain in backups for a limited time.

Featured ads

Posting an ad is free. When Featured ads are offered, you can pay to make an ad Featured, which shows it at the top of its category and on the homepage for the period you choose. The price is shown before you pay.

Prices are in UAE dirhams (AED). Payments go through PayPal, which charges in US dollars at the fixed rate of AED 3.6725 to USD 1. PayPal or your card provider may add their own fees. We never see or store your card details.

A Featured ad must follow these terms like any other ad, and featuring an ad does not mean we have checked it. If we remove a Featured ad because it breaks these terms, the fee is not refunded. If a fault on our side stops your ad from being featured, contact us and we will extend the feature or refund you. Otherwise, fees are not refundable once the ad has been featured.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top will show when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that emirate.
