Privacy Policy
About this policy
This policy explains what personal information AnimalMarket24.com collects, why we collect it, who helps us handle it and what choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and clear.
Last updated: 31 October 2026
What we collect
- Account details: your name, your email address, your password and, if you choose to give it, your phone number.
- Your ads: photos, description, price and city. We never show the exact address.
- Messages: what you write in the on-site message form.
- Your activity: the favourites and saved searches you create.
- Technical information: like most websites, our hosting and visitor statistics services may see your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
Why we use it
- To create and run your account and show your ads.
- To let buyers contact sellers.
- To send you emails you need, such as account emails, messages from other users and alerts for your saved searches.
- To keep the site safe, to deal with fake or duplicate ads and to enforce our terms of use.
- To understand how many people visit the site so that we can improve it.
What is public
When you post an ad, the ad itself is public: the photos, description, price and city, together with the seller name. The exact address is never shown. Your email address is not displayed on the site. Your phone number, if you add one, is not printed on the ad; people can reach it only through the contact buttons such as WhatsApp and Call.
Please do not put personal details in your photos or descriptions that you do not want strangers to see. Our terms do not allow contact details in photos.
Who processes your information
We use a small number of services to run the site:
- Hostinger provides the hosting where the site and its data are kept.
- Brevo sends the transactional emails that the site generates, such as account emails and saved-search alerts.
- Google Analytics (Google) and Histats provide visitor statistics: how many people visit, which pages they view, which buttons they use and which website sent them.
- Microsoft Clarity shows us, with heatmaps and session recordings, how visitors use our pages, so that we can fix what is hard to use. What you type into forms and phone numbers are hidden in these recordings.
- PayPal processes payments for Featured ads.
These services handle information only so that the site can work. We may also share information if the authorities lawfully require it.
If you pay to feature an ad, the payment is handled by PayPal. We receive confirmation of the payment, the amount and a PayPal reference, but never your card or bank details.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Histats also use their own cookies or similar technology to count visits and to see how the site is used. We use this to improve the site and to keep it safe. You can read how they handle data in the Google and Microsoft privacy statements. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site, such as logging in, may then stop working.
How long we keep information
We keep your account details, ads, favourites and saved searches for as long as your account is open. When you close your account, we delete your profile and your ads. Limited copies may remain in backups and email logs for up to 90 days.
Your choices
- Change your details: you can update your account details and edit or delete your ads yourself.
- Close your account: go to My account → Close account.
- Ask for a copy: if you would like a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or want something corrected, contact us.
- Stop alerts: remove a saved search in your account and its email alerts will stop.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will show when it last changed.
