Outstanding Blues Tiny Pups

The Chihuahua is among the smallest dogs in the world, usually under 3 kg, with plenty of attitude. Chihuahuas tend to bond closely with one person, can be wary of strangers and larger dogs, and often bark at every sound in the corridor, so early socialisation and calm, consistent training help. They suit apartment life well and need only short walks and some play indoors.

In the UAE summer, walk early in the morning or late in the evening and test the pavement with the back of your hand first, because hot ground burns small paws quickly. Never leave a Chihuahua in a parked car, not even for a minute. Many also feel chilly in strong air conditioning, so a soft bed and a light jumper can help. Be cautious of anyone selling “teacup” puppies at a premium, since very tiny dogs can be fragile. For teeth, bones and a healthy weight, ask your vet.

See the puppy in person (and its mother, if you buy from a breeder) and check the vaccination card and microchip number. Your dog should be microchipped, have its rabies and core vaccinations on schedule, and be registered with your municipality or emirate. Chihuahua is our most listed breed, with several hundred ads. On AnimalMarket24, asking prices have mostly been between AED 5,000 and AED 10,000. Adoption is also an option, and adoption fees should be modest.
