Angora rabbits are known for their long, fine wool, which is spun into soft angora yarn. The main types are the English, French, Giant and Satin Angora; the English Angora has the fluffiest face and ears. They are usually gentle and calm, but the coat makes them a high-maintenance breed best suited to owners with time for daily grooming.
An Angora needs brushing several times a week, often daily, and the wool is usually clipped or plucked every few months to stop mats and wool block. In the UAE heat, a full coat is a real risk, so keep the wool short in summer and keep the rabbit indoors in air conditioning. Feed plenty of hay, which helps move swallowed wool through the gut, plus fresh greens and a measured amount of pellets.
When you buy, check for a clean, unmatted coat, clear eyes, a clean bottom and teeth that meet evenly. Ask your vet about vaccinations and neutering. Selling Angora rabbits in the UAE? Post a free ad on AnimalMarket24 with photos, the type, the age and the sex.
